Duratron® PBI PBI (Celazole) Polybenzimidazole PBI Sheet, PBI Rod, Celazole Sheet, Celazole Rod, Duratron Sheet, Duratron Rod Duratron CU60 PBI is the highest performance engineering thermoplastic currently available. It has the highest heat resistance and mechanical properties of all unfilled plastics at temperatures above 205°C. It has better abrasion resistance and load-carrying capacity at extreme temperatures than any other reinforced or unreinforced engineering plastic. As an unreinforced material, Duratron CU60 PBI is very "pure" with respect to ionic impurities and does not outgas (with the exception of water). These very attractive properties allow the material to be designed for use in vacuum chambers for semiconductor devices, as well as in the aerospace industry. Duratron CU60 PBI has excellent ultrasonic transparency, which makes it ideal for components such as probe tip lenses in ultrasonic measurement equipment. Duratron CU60 PBI is also an excellent thermal insulator. Other molten plastics will not bond to the Duratron CU60 PBI. These properties make it ideal for contact sealing and insulating bushings in plastic production and molding equipment. Often Duratron CU60 PBI can be used in critical components to reduce maintenance costs and increase valuable production "uptime". It replaces metals and ceramics for pump components, valve seats (high-tech valves), bearings, rollers and high temperature insulators.

Even if this part is "frozen" in the cooling mold, it is still allowed to The molded plastic remains molten. And the hot molten plastic won't stick to the Duratron CU60 PBI, making the bushing last longer and making it easier to clean. (Previous Materials: Vespel® PI, Ceramic) Electrical Connectors For a higher safety factor, an aircraft engine manufacturer replaced connectors exposed to temperatures in excess of 205 °C (400 °F) with Duratron CU60 PBI material. (Previous material: Vespel® PI) Ball Seat Seat machined from Duratron CU60 PBI for high temperature fluid control with outstanding performance. (Previous Material: Metal) Clamp Rings Duratron CU60 PBI machined for gas plasma etching equipment, it has a longer life compared to polyimide (PI) parts due to reduced high energy erosion rate long. Because they don't need to be replaced as often, they gain valuable production "uptime."
