DuPont of the United States released a new type of polyimide material "Vespel" SCP series. The Vespel series is characterized by improved durability at high temperatures, and enhanced dimensional stability, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance. It can extend the life and reduce the weight of resin parts, thereby reducing the overall cost.

Vespel SCP series includes three levels. "Vespel SCP-5000" is an unfilled grade with excellent strength, dimensional stability and insulation, as well as plasma resistance. "Vespel SCP-5050" and "Vespel SCP-50094" are filler filling grades. In addition to heat resistance, they also enhance low friction and abrasion resistance.

In recent years, users have requested resin parts with stronger durability in various aspects. Vespel SCP series are mainly used for aerospace engine parts, semiconductor manufacturing processes and some industrial transportation components, etc., which can improve reliability and extend life, thereby reducing downtime and improving yield.
